natasha's choice

Natasha & I were having yummy cake & rather lukewarm coffee outside @ Carluccio's (I do think that outdoor space heaters are the best invention of the 20th century) & she spotted these two friends. As usual, they were surprised I'd want to shoot them. I always think, if they think I'm catching them on a bad style day, what must they look like when they're making an effort?

Love the furry stuff. And the boots on the girl on the right.

Her fur coat is beautiful, and I'm especially interested in what is poking out of her shopper! Is it a blazer? Looks funky whatever it is :)

I love them! Their smiles alone make me happy! You always find the most amazing subjects to shoot! :)

I love the winterwear, that they're donning! Especially the fur coat, it is gorgeous, and I hope one day I could get one myself, they are so warm!

I'm more of the girl on the left but I love the style of the girl on the right. I must add more spice to my wardrobe!

Real fur BAD. That isn't faux fur on the left, it is real fox. YUCK ick patooie... Looks good but it look better on the foxes...

beweave: I hear you. I have a struggle eating meat, and I couldn't buy new fur. If I find it vintage, my feeling is, I'm not supporting animals being killed for fur. But I prefer faux, especially since there are such wonderfully soft, authentic versions available these days.

Fur does provoke such powerful responses in people, for and against. Thank you for having the courage to voice your opinion, with grace & humour. Will be writing more on the topic shortly, as a post. x
